Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Transport and Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG), which rose 5.06% or 1.54 points to trade at 32.00 at the close. Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) added 3.20% or 4.50 points to end at 145.00 and Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR) was up 1.97% or 1.85 points to 95.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 5.94% or 0.09 points to trade at 1.44 in late trade. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) declined 5.53% or 0.34 points to end at 5.81 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) shed 5.00% or 1.5 points to 28.5.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 112 to 57 and 18 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.82% or 0.91 to $49.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.84% or 0.93 to hit $49.72 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.52% or 19.65 to trade at $1272.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.11% to 9.3540, while USD/NOK rose 0.37% to 8.3064.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.36% at 94.02.
