Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Transport, Telecoms and Food, Beverages & Tobacco sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.74%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA), which rose 2.32% or 5.0 points to trade at 220.4 at the close. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) added 1.19% or 0.66 points to end at 56.34 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) was up 1.01% or 3.4 points to 340.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which lost 4.35% or 8.8 points to trade at 193.6 in late trade. TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) declined 3.87% or 7.4 points to end at 184.9 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) shed 3.47% or 0.74 points to 20.56.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 108 to 75 and 21 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.25% or 0.15 to $59.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.46% or 0.29 to hit $63.01 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.39% or 18.50 to trade at $1348.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.05% to 9.7241, while USD/NOK fell 0.36% to 7.8482.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.35% at 89.29.
