Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Materials, Telecoms and Consumer Durables And Apparel sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.84%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 5.59% or 0.37 points to trade at 6.99 at the close. Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG) added 3.11% or 1.60 points to end at 53.10 and Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) was up 2.96% or 1.0 points to 34.4 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Yara International ASA (OL:YAR), which lost 4.56% or 15.7 points to trade at 328.3 in late trade. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 3.57% or 1.01 points to end at 27.30 and Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) shed 2.59% or 0.83 points to 31.25.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 94 to 77 and 17 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.95% or 0.84 to $44.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 2.00% or 0.89 to hit $45.42 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.13% or 14.10 to trade at $1236.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.18% to 9.2427, while USD/NOK rose 0.31% to 8.2279.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.44% at 95.04.
