Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Auto & components sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.98% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA), which rose 0.94% or 0.50 points to trade at 53.75 at the close. Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) fell 0.14% or 0.2 points to end at 141.6 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was down 0.23% or 0.7 points to 301.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which lost 6.40% or 2.20 points to trade at 32.20 in late trade. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 5.74% or 1.01 points to end at 16.60 and Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) shed 5.46% or 0.4 points to 7.6.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 130 to 49 and 17 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.89% or 1.34 to $44.95 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 2.38% or 1.15 to hit $47.17 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.16% or 2.15 to trade at $1327.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.27% to 9.2800, while USD/NOK rose 0.20% to 8.2535.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.24% at 95.35.
