Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Materials, Telecoms and Software & Computer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP), which rose 2.53% or 3.60 points to trade at 145.70 at the close. DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) added 1.97% or 0.14 points to end at 7.26 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) was up 1.90% or 0.02 points to 1.07 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY), which lost 5.04% or 2.60 points to trade at 49.00 in late trade. Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) declined 1.91% or 2.7 points to end at 138.8 and BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) shed 1.12% or 0.43 points to 37.81.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 98 to 77 and 31 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.08% or 0.04 to $49.01 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $51.86 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.13% or 1.64 to trade at $1267.54 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.33% to 9.3439, while USD/NOK rose 0.21% to 8.5823.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 98.97.
