Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Food, Beverages & Tobacco and Capital Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.28%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OSLO:NWC), which rose 2.35% or 7.8 points to trade at 339.3 at the close. Meanwhile, Orkla ASA (OSLO:ORK) added 1.64% or 1.05 points to end at 64.95 and Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL) was up 1.61% or 1.1 points to 69.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aker Solutions OL (OSLO:AKSOL), which fell 5.32% or 1.76 points to trade at 31.30 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS) declined 3.84% or 1.41 points to end at 35.27 and Akastor ASA (OSLO:AKAS) was down 3.75% or 0.5 points to 11.6.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 99 to 80 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aker Solutions OL (OSLO:AKSOL) fell to all time lows; losing 5.32% or 1.76 to 31.30. Shares in Akastor ASA (OSLO:AKAS) fell to all time lows; losing 3.75% or 0.5 to 11.6.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.62% or 0.77 to $48.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.46% or 0.24 to hit $53.72 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.14% or 1.50 to trade at $1095.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.51% to 9.0148, while USD/NOK fell 0.23% to 8.1535.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.13% at 96.75.
