Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Materials, Healthcare Equipment & Services and Diversified Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 2.53%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Telenor ASA (OSLO:TEL), which fell 1.16% or 2.1 points to trade at 178.9 at the close. Meanwhile, Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OSLO:GJFS) fell 1.51% or 2.0 points to end at 130.6 and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OSLO:RCLo) was down 1.63% or 11.0 points to 665.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO), which fell 6.90% or 0.59 points to trade at 7.96 at the close. Akastor ASA (OSLO:AKAS) declined 6.25% or 0.8 points to end at 12.0 and Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL) was down 4.87% or 3.5 points to 68.3.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 148 to 27 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO) fell to 52-week lows; falling 6.90% or 0.59 to 7.96. Shares in Akastor ASA (OSLO:AKAS) fell to all time lows; down 6.25% or 0.8 to 12.0. Shares in Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL) fell to 5-year lows; down 4.87% or 3.5 to 68.3.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.06% or 0.51 to $47.63 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.53% or 0.83 to hit $53.78 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.02% or 11.10 to trade at $1097.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.37% to 9.0459, while USD/NOK fell 0.75% to 8.1432.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.87% at 96.50.
