Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Mining sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Andino Investment Holding SAA (LM:AIH), which rose 2.50% or 0.040 points to trade at 1.640 at the close. Unacem (LM:CEL) added 2.39% or 0.070 points to end at 3.000 and Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) was up 2.09% or 0.040 points to 1.950 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG), which lost 5.33% or 0.080 points to trade at 1.420 in late trade. Relapasa (LM:REL) declined 4.40% or 0.016 points to end at 0.348 and Candente Copper (LM:DNT) shed 1.72% or 0.0020 points to 0.1140.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 14 and 14 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.02% or 0.01 to $63.58 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.09% or 0.06 to hit $69.14 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.27% or 3.60 to trade at $1322.90 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.09% to 3.2195, while EUR/PEN rose 0.52% to 3.8728.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.47% at 91.68.
