Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.33% to hit a new 3-year high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Panoro (LM:PML), which rose 13.33% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.255 at the close. PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX) added 11.29% or 0.01 points to end at 0.07 and Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) was up 7.69% or 0.650 points to 9.100 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Volcan Compania Minera SAA (LM:VOLa), which lost 3.55% or 0.070 points to trade at 1.900 in late trade. Credicorp (LM:BAP) declined 1.09% or 2.24 points to end at 204.00 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) shed 0.82% or 0.010 points to 1.210.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 31 to 4 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.17% or 0.08 to $47.37 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.00% or 0.53 to hit $52.22 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.69% or 9.18 to trade at $1339.58 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2375, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8512.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 92.57.
