Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Services and Electricity sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb), which rose 3.48% or 0.040 points to trade at 1.190 at the close. Backus Johnsto (LM:BKJi) added 2.50% or 0.500 points to end at 20.500 and Casa Grande (LM:CSG) was up 2.29% or 0.130 points to 5.810 in late trade.
Biggest losers included PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX), which unchanged 5.00% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.06 in late trade. Panoro (LM:PML) declined 3.39% or 0.010 points to end at 0.285 and Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) shed 2.94% or 0.050 points to 1.650.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 8 and 11 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 1.89% or 1.21 to $62.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.52% or 1.02 to hit $66.27 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.04% or 13.90 to trade at $1318.90 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.09% to 3.2515, while EUR/PEN fell 0.42% to 3.9788.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.63% at 90.34.
