Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Food, Telecoms and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW), which rose 5.02% or 0.94 points to trade at 19.65 at the close. KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH) added 4.04% or 2.89 points to end at 74.39 and Energa SA (WA:ENGP) was up 2.89% or 0.35 points to 12.44 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER), which lost 3.25% or 1.73 points to trade at 51.45 in late trade. Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) declined 2.03% or 1.20 points to end at 57.90 and OrangePL (WA:OPL) shed 1.90% or 0.12 points to 6.20.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 275 to 219 and 177 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.41% or 0.19 to $45.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.84% or 0.40 to hit $47.37 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 2.05% or 25.95 to trade at $1292.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.62% to 4.3737, while USD/PLN fell 1.36% to 3.8236.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.63% at 93.14.
