Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Media, Basic Materials and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Eurocash SA (WA:EUR), which rose 3.28% or 1.55 points to trade at 48.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) added 2.83% or 2.56 points to end at 93.13 and Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) was up 1.89% or 1.02 points to 55.03 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS), which fell 4.98% or 1.27 points to trade at 24.23 at the close. KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGHM) declined 3.19% or 3.00 points to end at 90.92 and Globe Trade Centre SA (WA:GTCP) was down 2.10% or 0.15 points to 7.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 314 to 264 and 111 ended unchanged.
Shares in Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 3.28% or 1.55 to 48.80.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 2.54% or 1.21 to $46.51 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 2.94% or 1.49 to hit $48.98 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.00% or 11.80 to trade at $1171.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.23% to 4.2463, while USD/PLN rose 0.46% to 3.7508.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 94.98.
