Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Technology and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.04% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which rose 2.34% or 0.0800 points to trade at 3.4940 at the close. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) added 1.59% or 0.0140 points to end at 0.8940 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) was up 1.58% or 0.0042 points to 0.2695 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS), which lost 1.90% or 0.1070 points to trade at 5.5220 in late trade. Semapa (LS:SEM) declined 1.40% or 0.2550 points to end at 17.9500 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) shed 1.11% or 0.125 points to 11.175.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 14 and 8 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.33% or 0.21 to $63.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.52% or 0.30 to hit $57.52 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.21% or 2.60 to trade at $1262.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.36% to 1.1824, while EUR/GBP rose 0.56% to 0.8851.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 93.19.
