Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 6.07% or 0.0125 points to trade at 0.2185 at the close. J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) added 1.90% or 0.2500 points to end at 13.4000 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was up 0.54% or 0.0950 points to 17.6400 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which lost 1.93% or 0.0550 points to trade at 2.7950 in late trade. F.Rama (LS:RAMA) declined 0.97% or 0.100 points to end at 10.200 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) shed 0.92% or 0.100 points to 10.800.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 13 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was up 1.73% or 1.29 to $76.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.58% or 1.07 to hit $68.90 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.62% or 19.30 to trade at $1213.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.77% to 1.1629, while EUR/GBP rose 0.43% to 0.9045.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.55% at 95.02.
