Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Technology and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Semapa (LS:SEM), which rose 3.79% or 0.7200 points to trade at 19.7000 at the close. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) added 2.43% or 0.0055 points to end at 0.2320 and The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) was up 1.27% or 0.0560 points to 4.4760 in late trade.
Biggest losers included J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT), which lost 1.22% or 0.2150 points to trade at 17.3800 in late trade. Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) declined 0.59% or 0.0300 points to end at 5.0300 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) shed 0.53% or 0.0180 points to 3.3940.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 21 to 13 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was up 0.67% or 0.45 to $67.49 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.80% or 0.51 to hit $64.06 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.14% or 1.80 to trade at $1332.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.02% to 1.2301, while EUR/GBP rose 0.09% to 0.8813.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 89.86.
