Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Technology and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which rose 2.75% or 0.315 points to trade at 11.750 at the close. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) added 2.32% or 0.0750 points to end at 3.3110 and REN (LS:RENE) was up 1.58% or 0.0390 points to 2.5120 in late trade.
Biggest losers included EDP (LS:EDP), which lost 1.16% or 0.0340 points to trade at 2.8880 in late trade. Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) declined 0.51% or 0.0270 points to end at 5.2400 and The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) shed 0.48% or 0.0200 points to 4.1550.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 20 to 13 and 8 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.24% or 0.15 to $62.37 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.50% or 0.28 to hit $56.70 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.56% or 7.20 to trade at $1282.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.05% to 1.1739, while EUR/GBP rose 0.10% to 0.8874.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 93.91.
