Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 1.48%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 9.91% or 0.0210 points to trade at 0.2330 at the close. Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) added 3.17% or 0.1400 points to end at 4.5500 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) was up 2.56% or 0.0260 points to 1.0400 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which lost 0.42% or 0.050 points to trade at 11.850 in late trade. Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) declined 0.30% or 0.030 points to end at 9.850 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) gained 0.26% or 0.0450 points to 17.0600.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 25 to 10 on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was up 0.59% or 0.37 to $63.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.98% or 0.58 to hit $59.78 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.81% or 10.70 to trade at $1326.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.19% to 1.2273, while EUR/GBP rose 0.25% to 0.8884.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 90.15.
