Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Utilities and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT), which rose 1.47% or 0.2300 points to trade at 15.8650 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) added 0.74% or 0.080 points to end at 10.920 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was up 0.19% or 0.0300 points to 15.5500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 4.30% or 0.0120 points to trade at 0.2670 in late trade. Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) declined 2.42% or 0.295 points to end at 11.905 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) shed 1.48% or 0.0540 points to 3.6010.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 25 to 11 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.26% or 0.17 to $64.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.43% or 0.25 to hit $58.34 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 1.00 to trade at $1270.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1869, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.8876.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 92.89.
