Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae (LS:YSO), which rose 3.05% or 0.0300 points to trade at 1.0120 at the close. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) added 1.49% or 0.0050 points to end at 0.3410 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was up 0.96% or 0.0520 points to 5.4460 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which lost 1.93% or 0.0620 points to trade at 3.1580 in late trade. Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) declined 1.72% or 0.200 points to end at 11.450 and EDP (LS:EDP) shed 1.52% or 0.0450 points to 2.9150.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 17 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was up 2.00% or 1.23 to $62.59 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.25% or 1.24 to hit $56.38 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.99% or 12.67 to trade at $1290.87 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.20% to 1.1794, while EUR/GBP rose 0.09% to 0.8930.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 93.61.
