Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.38% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 1.71% or 0.0042 points to trade at 0.2495 at the close. Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA) added 0.59% or 0.021 points to end at 3.592 and EDP (LS:EDP) was up 0.20% or 0.0060 points to 2.9860 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 4.61% or 0.0190 points to trade at 0.3930 in late trade. Sonae (LS:YSO) declined 2.08% or 0.0210 points to end at 0.9900 and Semapa (LS:SEM) shed 1.80% or 0.2950 points to 16.0850.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 21 to 12 and 8 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.55% or 0.35 to $63.58 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.68% or 0.39 to hit $56.78 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.85% or 10.96 to trade at $1276.54 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.13% to 1.1657, while EUR/GBP fell 0.27% to 0.8832.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 94.32.
