Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were F.Rama (LS:RAMA), which rose 7.32% or 0.600 points to trade at 8.800 at the close. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) added 2.44% or 0.0720 points to end at 3.0280 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) was up 2.19% or 0.250 points to 11.650 in late trade.
Biggest losers included J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT), which lost 2.26% or 0.2950 points to trade at 12.7750 in late trade. Semapa (LS:SEM) declined 1.94% or 0.4500 points to end at 22.8000 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) shed 1.75% or 0.2800 points to 15.7650.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 12 and 11 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.66% or 0.50 to $74.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 1.77% or 1.16 to hit $64.53 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.19% or 2.40 to trade at $1277.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.47% to 1.1568, while EUR/GBP rose 0.15% to 0.8786.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 94.75.
