Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.61% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which rose 2.19% or 0.240 points to trade at 11.200 at the close. Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) added 1.75% or 0.160 points to end at 9.320 and Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) was up 1.60% or 0.0030 points to 0.1900 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which lost 5.38% or 0.1250 points to trade at 2.2000 in late trade. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) declined 3.65% or 0.1220 points to end at 3.2220 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) shed 2.55% or 0.4300 points to 16.4050.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 1.79% or 1.38 to $75.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.14% or 1.47 to hit $67.25 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.27% or 3.20 to trade at $1204.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.07% to 1.1623, while EUR/GBP fell 0.31% to 0.8984.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 95.04.
