Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.68%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 5.63% or 0.0240 points to trade at 0.4500 at the close. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) added 4.35% or 0.1500 points to end at 3.5980 and The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) was up 2.31% or 0.1010 points to 4.4800 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which lost 21.68% or 1.0960 points to trade at 3.9600 in late trade. Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) declined 1.73% or 0.215 points to end at 12.235 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) shed 1.05% or 0.0027 points to 0.2538.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 23 to 13 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.62% or 0.38 to $60.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.20% or 0.11 to hit $54.27 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.49% or 6.27 to trade at $1276.77 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.15% to 1.1628, while EUR/GBP fell 0.09% to 0.8760.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 94.59.
