Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Utilities and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 1.74%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which rose 1.35% or 0.150 points to trade at 11.300 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) added 1.03% or 0.120 points to end at 11.780 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) was up 0.95% or 0.0700 points to 7.4500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which lost 3.34% or 0.0090 points to trade at 0.2603 in late trade. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) declined 1.90% or 0.0180 points to end at 0.9280 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) shed 1.61% or 0.2550 points to 15.6000.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 23 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 1.28% or 0.98 to $75.49 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.83% or 1.24 to hit $66.64 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.47% or 6.10 to trade at $1297.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.19% to 1.1628, while EUR/GBP fell 0.26% to 0.8736.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 94.37.
