Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Real Estate and Pharmaceutical Industry sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Taqa Morocco SA (CS:TQM), which rose 2.67% or 21.10 points to trade at 811.10 at the close. Cosumar (CS:CSMR) added 2.31% or 9 points to end at 398 and Miniere Touissit (CS:CMT) was up 2.17% or 30 points to 1410 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lydec (CS:LYD), which lost 3.13% or 19.40 points to trade at 600.00 in late trade. IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC) declined 2.70% or 2.50 points to end at 90.00 and Delta Holding S.A (CS:DHO) shed 2.39% or 0.76 points to 31.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 26 to 16 and 4 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 3.72% or 1.73 to $44.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 3.63% or 1.77 to hit $46.95 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.65% or 8.26 to trade at $1276.86 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.24% to 10.9610, while USD/MAD fell 0.36% to 9.7190.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.48% at 96.50.
