Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Media & Publishing, Hotels & Tourism and Petrochemicals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 1.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance (SE:8311), which rose 10.38% or 1.10 points to trade at 11.70 at the close. Saudi Printing & Packaging Company (SE:4270) added 9.79% or 2.05 points to end at 23.00 and Tihama Advertising&Public Relations (SE:4070) was up 9.54% or 3.30 points to 37.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ACE ARABIA COOPERATIVE INSURANCE (SE:8240), which lost 2.52% or 1.20 points to trade at 46.50 in late trade. The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:8030) declined 2.17% or 0.50 points to end at 22.50 and Allied Cooperative Insurance Group (SE:8150) shed 1.66% or 0.25 points to 14.85.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 133 to 27 and 7 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 2.15% or 0.78 to $37.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.81% or 0.70 to hit $39.44 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1230.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.41% to 4.1490, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7500.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.41% at 97.06.
