Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Petrochemicals, Media & Publishing and Agriculture & Food sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Eastern Province Cement Co. (SE:3080), which rose 9.93% or 2.04 points to trade at 22.58 at the close. Abdullah Al Othaim Markets Company (SE:4001) added 2.96% or 2.10 points to end at 73.00 and Saudi Company for Hardware (SE:4008) was up 2.91% or 2.90 points to 102.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Allianz Saudi Fransi Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:8040), which lost 2.37% or 0.65 points to trade at 26.80 in late trade. The National Shipping Co. (SE:4030) declined 2.37% or 0.80 points to end at 32.95 and Riyad Bank (SE:1010) shed 2.25% or 0.40 points to 17.34.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 117 to 59 and 10 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.60% or 0.84 to $51.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.09% or 0.67 to hit $61.00 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 1.40 to trade at $1251.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.29% to 4.2871, while USD/SAR rose 0.02% to 3.7523.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 96.597.
