Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Hotels & Tourism, Petrochemicals and Transport sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share declined 1.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:8030), which rose 10.30% or 2.25 points to trade at 24.10 at the close. Al-Ahlia Insurance Company (SE:8140) added 9.02% or 0.55 points to end at 6.65 and Etihad Etisalat Co (SE:7020) was up 4.10% or 1.10 points to 27.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Aljazira Takaful Taawuni Company (SE:8012), which lost 7.23% or 2.50 points to trade at 32.10 in late trade. Al-Rajhi Cooperative Insurance (SE:8230) declined 7.19% or 1.65 points to end at 21.30 and Al Hokair Group (SE:1820) shed 6.46% or 2.90 points to 42.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 142 to 18 and 7 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 2.83% or 1.09 to $37.41 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 2.87% or 1.16 to hit $39.23 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.12% or 1.50 to trade at $1257.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.27% to 4.1715, while USD/SAR fell 0.05% to 3.7498.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 96.45.
