Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.02% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which rose 5.84% or 11.50 points to trade at 208.40 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) added 3.82% or 1.57 points to end at 42.67 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) was up 3.21% or 9.5 points to 305.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 6.23% or 1.29 points to trade at 19.40 in late trade. Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) declined 2.48% or 6.20 points to end at 244.10 and Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) shed 2.31% or 3.8 points to 161.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 406 to 362 and 80 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.04% or 0.02 to $54.36 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.39% or 0.24 to hit $60.70 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.56% or 7.09 to trade at $1277.59 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.03% to 9.7604, while USD/SEK rose 0.21% to 8.3964.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 94.64.
