Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 3.38% or 1.38 points to trade at 42.18 at the close. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 2.55% or 7.10 points to end at 286.00 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) was up 2.32% or 3.23 points to 142.53 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb), which lost 1.51% or 3.3 points to trade at 214.6 in late trade. Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST:ATCOa) declined 1.27% or 3.1 points to end at 240.6 and Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) shed 1.05% or 2.30 points to 217.70.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 352 to 269 and 58 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.71% or 0.53 to $73.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.17% or 0.13 to hit $78.37 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.38% or 4.80 to trade at $1258.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.04% to 10.2489, while USD/SEK fell 0.30% to 8.7627.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 94.09.
