Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were AB SKF B (ST:SKFb), which rose 3.55% or 6.0 points to trade at 175.1 at the close. Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) added 1.79% or 2.67 points to end at 152.12 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was up 1.73% or 0.81 points to 47.66 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 6.86% or 0.66 points to trade at 8.93 in late trade. Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) declined 1.75% or 1.9 points to end at 103.9 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) shed 1.57% or 0.62 points to 38.78.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 291 to 291 and 69 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 2.06% or 1.28 to $63.41 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.77% or 1.17 to hit $67.22 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.58% or 7.70 to trade at $1310.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.06% to 10.0716, while USD/SEK rose 0.61% to 8.2194.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.53% at 89.94.
