Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.36% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb), which rose 3.05% or 7.2 points to trade at 241.9 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) added 2.64% or 1.07 points to end at 41.67 and Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) was up 2.30% or 2.4 points to 104.3 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which lost 1.49% or 7.3 points to trade at 484.0 in late trade. H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) declined 1.44% or 1.9 points to end at 131.0 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) shed 1.10% or 0.46 points to 41.28.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 335 to 284 and 66 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.26% or 0.18 to $68.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.21% or 0.16 to hit $76.66 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.09% or 1.10 to trade at $1214.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.60% to 10.6841, while USD/SEK rose 0.23% to 9.1150.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 94.44.
