Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Oil & Gas and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.39% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb), which rose 9.40% or 21.50 points to trade at 250.20 at the close. Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) added 2.90% or 3.67 points to end at 130.07 and Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) was up 2.83% or 2.8 points to 101.9 in late trade.
Biggest losers included AB SKF B (ST:SKFb), which lost 1.91% or 3.0 points to trade at 151.8 in late trade. Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVb) declined 1.43% or 3.2 points to end at 220.6 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) shed 1.31% or 1.50 points to 112.90.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 322 to 313 and 54 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.79% or 0.97 to $55.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.89% or 0.55 to hit $62.09 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.81% or 10.65 to trade at $1326.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.15% to 10.3628, while USD/SEK rose 0.02% to 9.0454.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 95.208.
