Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.77%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson B (ST:ERICb), which rose 4.41% or 2.58 points to trade at 61.08 at the close. Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) added 1.65% or 2.20 points to end at 135.30 and Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) was up 1.63% or 4.9 points to 305.2 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 0.48% or 0.15 points to trade at 31.26 in late trade. ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) declined 0.46% or 1.0 points to end at 216.9 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) shed 0.27% or 0.8 points to 293.9.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 362 to 336 and 80 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.31% or 0.16 to $51.29 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.22% or 0.12 to hit $53.99 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.46% or 5.78 to trade at $1255.62 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.18% to 9.7513, while USD/SEK rose 0.18% to 8.7089.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 97.14.
