Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.79%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 2.40% or 0.98 points to trade at 41.77 at the close. Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) added 2.37% or 18.4 points to end at 795.0 and ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) was up 2.14% or 3.9 points to 185.9 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which lost 0.87% or 0.9 points to trade at 108.7 in late trade. Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) declined 0.38% or 1.8 points to end at 471.5 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) shed 0.35% or 0.40 points to 113.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 390 to 225 and 69 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.80% or 0.55 to $69.14 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.18% or 0.14 to hit $78.32 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.70% or 8.40 to trade at $1199.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.58% to 10.5293, while USD/SEK rose 0.91% to 9.0360.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 94.82.
