Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Consumer Goods and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb), which rose 0.80% or 2.5 points to trade at 313.2 at the close. Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) added 0.64% or 2.2 points to end at 347.4 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was up 0.63% or 0.95 points to 152.15 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb), which lost 0.92% or 2.10 points to trade at 225.50 in late trade. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 0.84% or 0.07 points to end at 7.93 and Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) shed 0.71% or 1.00 points to 140.55.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 354 to 239 and 72 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 2.18% or 1.35 to $63.41 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 2.04% or 1.37 to hit $68.48 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.30 to trade at $1336.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.04% to 10.2973, while USD/SEK fell 0.33% to 8.3613.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 89.60.
