Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.76%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 3.16% or 1.53 points to trade at 49.98 at the close. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 1.02% or 2.90 points to end at 287.70 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) was up 0.49% or 1.3 points to 267.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb), which lost 2.34% or 5.60 points to trade at 234.20 in late trade. ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) declined 1.91% or 3.5 points to end at 177.3 and Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) shed 1.56% or 1.60 points to 100.75.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 386 to 245 and 40 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.65% or 0.42 to $64.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.06% or 0.04 to hit $69.92 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.17% or 15.60 to trade at $1352.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.10% to 9.8387, while USD/SEK fell 0.83% to 7.9402.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.83% at 89.13.
