Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 1.13% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa), which rose 1.90% or 3.6 points to trade at 196.2 at the close. Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) added 1.12% or 5.0 points to end at 450.1 and Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) was up 0.88% or 6.4 points to 732.2 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb), which lost 4.96% or 4.4 points to trade at 84.0 in late trade. Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb) declined 3.97% or 18.2 points to end at 440.0 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) shed 3.79% or 8.5 points to 215.8.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 566 to 86 and 39 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 4.42% or 3.06 to $66.11 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 4.48% or 3.58 to hit $76.25 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.23% or 15.00 to trade at $1236.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.50% to 10.3756, while USD/SEK rose 0.36% to 9.0351.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 95.61.
