Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Oil & Gas and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 1.34%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b), which rose 1.13% or 1.25 points to trade at 111.90 at the close. Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) added 0.81% or 1.15 points to end at 143.95 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to 43.48 in late trade.
Biggest losers included H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb), which lost 8.53% or 13.3 points to trade at 142.8 in late trade. Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVb) declined 4.11% or 9.1 points to end at 212.5 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) shed 3.31% or 6.5 points to 190.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 466 to 173 and 47 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 1.61% or 0.83 to $50.64 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.66% or 0.40 to hit $59.88 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.47% or 5.80 to trade at $1247.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.13% to 10.2569, while USD/SEK fell 0.19% to 9.0443.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 96.637.
