Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 2.60%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa), which rose 4.77% or 6.0 points to trade at 131.8 at the close. Meanwhile, Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken A (ST:SEBa) added 4.23% or 4.40 points to end at 108.30 and Modern Times Group MTG AB ser. B (ST:MTGBs) was up 3.75% or 8.7 points to 240.7 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which fell 0.80% or 1.10 points to trade at 136.60 at the close. Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) added 0.41% or 0.6 points to end at 147.1 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was up 1.05% or 0.95 points to 91.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 352 to 84 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.11% or 0.06 to $52.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $58.66 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.27% or 3.10 to trade at $1162.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.46% to 9.4111, while USD/SEK fell 0.60% to 8.4361.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.67% at 96.02.
