Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.76%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb), which rose 2.58% or 4.4 points to trade at 175.1 at the close. Meanwhile, Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs) added 1.54% or 3.2 points to end at 211.6 and Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) was up 1.42% or 1.50 points to 107.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which fell 0.79% or 1.00 points to trade at 125.10 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 0.51% or 0.21 points to end at 41.10 and Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVBs) was down 0.47% or 1.3 points to 275.4.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 258 to 183 and 2 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.81% or 0.88 to $47.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.36% or 0.72 to hit $52.59 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.62% or 6.70 to trade at $1095.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.51% to 9.4767, while USD/SEK fell 0.33% to 8.5957.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.61% at 97.01.
