Investing.com - Canadian equities started with loses on Tuesday, with falls nearly in all sectors, the most notable ones being the Communication Services, Industrials, Information Technology and Renewable Energy and Clean Technology sectors.
At the market open in Toronto, the TSX Composite Index fell 0.32%. The TSX Venture and the TSX Smallcap also declined. The TSX Venture dropped by 0.37%, while the Smallcap went down by 0.22%.

- Maple Leaf Foods (TSX:MFI): Climbed 5.66% or 1.27 points to 23.72
- Altus Group (TSX:AIF): Rose 2.96% or 1.55 points to 53.90
- Ivanhoe Mines (TSX:IVN): Increased 2.43% or 0.45 points to 19.00
Top Losers:
- Intl Petroleum (TSX:IPCO): Dropped 2.60% or 0.51 points to 19.13
- Gfl Environmental (TSX:GFL): Fell 2.14% or 1.15 points to 52.53
- Badger Infrastructure Solutions (TSX:BDGI): Declined 2.37% or 0.94 points to 38.78
In Commodities Trading:
- Crude Oil for August delivery fell 0.51 points to 81.78 a barrel.
- September Brent Oil Contract is down by 0.69% or 0.59 drop to 85.16 a barrel.
- Gold Futures for August delivery rose 3.25 points to 2,366.75 a troy ounce.
Currency Markets:
- USD/CAD cruises at 1.36 with a daily range of 1.3628-1.3649.
- EUR/CAD is stable at 1.47.
- The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 104.757

Canada's calendar is empty today, but in the US; Fed's Powell has already testified, and FOMC member Bowman's speech will be followed later today.
