At the market open in Toronto, the TSX Composite Index fell 0.33%. The TSX Venture and the TSX Smallcap were mixed. The TSX Venture climbed 0.49%, while the Smallcap was down by 0.34%.
Cameco (TSX:CCO): Climbed 5.87% or 3.27 points to 58.97.
NexGen Energy (TSX:NXE): Rose 5.31% or 0.430 points to 8.530.
TransAlta Corp (TSX:TA): Increased 3.57% or 0.45 points to 13.07.
Ballard (TSX:BLDP): Declined 5.62% or 0.14 points to 2.27.
TFI Intl (TSX:TFII): Dropped 2.96% or 6.01 points to 197.33.
Headwater Exploration Inc (TSX:HWX): Fell 2.42% or 0.160 points to 6.450.
In Commodities Trading:
- November Brent Oil Contract dropped by 0.87% or 0.65 points to 74.23 a barrel.
- Crude Oil for November delivery fell 0.52 points to 70.64 a barrel.
- Gold Futures for December delivery rose 16.10 points to 2,630.70 a troy ounce.
Currency Markets:
- USD/CAD is trading at 1.3573.
