Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Real Estate Investments, Banking and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI), which rose 5.75% or 3.25 points to trade at 59.80 at the close. Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) added 4.10% or 0.290 points to end at 7.370 and Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) was up 2.94% or 0.010 points to 0.350 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Gubre Fabrikalari TAS (IS:GUBRF), which lost 2.56% or 0.08 points to trade at 3.05 in late trade. Trabzonspor Sportif Yatirim ve Futbol Isletmeciligi Ticaret AS (IS:TSPOR) declined 2.55% or 0.040 points to end at 1.530 and GSD Holding AS (IS:GSDHO) shed 2.44% or 0.020 points to 0.800.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 186 to 152 and 69 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.78% or 9.95 to $1281.75 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 4.56% or 1.94 to hit $44.47 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 3.29% or 1.67 to trade at $52.44 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.24% to 5.2873, while EUR/TRY fell 0.12% to 6.0350.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 96.110.
