Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Wholesale & Retail Trade, Metal Products & Machinery and Leasing & Factoring sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Sekerbank TAS (IS:SKBNK), which rose 4.24% or 0.050 points to trade at 1.230 at the close. Kiler Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:KLGYO) added 4.21% or 0.080 points to end at 1.980 and Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi AS (IS:AKSA) was up 3.84% or 0.33 points to 8.92 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Turkiye Is Bankasi AS Class C (IS:ISCTR), which lost 6.43% or 0.370 points to trade at 5.380 in late trade. Turkiye Sise ve Cam Fabrikalari AS (IS:SISE) declined 5.59% or 0.370 points to end at 6.250 and Gubre Fabrikalari TAS (IS:GUBRF) shed 4.09% or 0.14 points to 3.28.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 213 to 147 and 48 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.03% or 0.35 to $1318.95 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.48% or 0.26 to hit $54.30 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.08% or 0.05 to trade at $62.56 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.22% to 5.2039, while EUR/TRY fell 0.45% to 5.9379.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 95.797.
