Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1), which rose 1.42% or 460.0 points to trade at 32920.0 at the close. Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) added 1.31% or 280.0 points to end at 21580.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) was up 0.98% or 300.0 points to 31000.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO), which lost 1.87% or 1280.0 points to trade at 67180.0 in late trade. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) declined 0.63% or 60.0 points to end at 9540.0 and Interconnection Electric SA ESP (CN:ISA) shed 0.60% or 80.0 points to 13360.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 10 to 8 and 16 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 0.13% or 0.17 to $128.30 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 0.45% or 8.50 to hit $1875.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.14% or 1.75 to trade at $1290.65 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.35% to 2988.47, while BRL/COP rose 1.32% to 950.29.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 93.33.
