Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking, Insurance and Diversified Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG), which rose 3.55% or 0.83 points to trade at 24.24 at the close. Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) added 2.63% or 1.10 points to end at 43.00 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) was up 2.63% or 0.03 points to 1.17 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which lost 1.01% or 0.2 points to trade at 20.6 in late trade. Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) declined 0.67% or 0.9 points to end at 132.5 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) shed 0.32% or 0.9 points to 284.1.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 118 to 59 and 25 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.59% or 0.30 to $50.14 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.48% or 0.25 to hit $51.78 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.25% or 3.10 to trade at $1254.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.29% to 9.0386, while USD/NOK rose 0.91% to 8.2245.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.44% at 97.96.
