Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Telecoms and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.74%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR), which rose 1.50% or 0.0530 points to trade at 3.5830 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) added 1.47% or 0.2000 points to end at 13.7850 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was up 1.31% or 0.0720 points to 5.5830 in late trade.
Biggest losers included J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT), which lost 5.37% or 0.8700 points to trade at 15.3300 in late trade. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) declined 2.29% or 0.0035 points to end at 0.1495 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) shed 1.23% or 0.0200 points to 1.6110.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 15 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was up 1.13% or 0.63 to $56.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.38% or 0.74 to hit $54.33 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.37% or 16.85 to trade at $1250.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.20% to 1.0577, while EUR/GBP fell 0.64% to 0.8426.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 101.00.
