Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which rose 1.64% or 0.34 points to trade at 21.03 at the close. Valmt (HE:VALMT) added 0.82% or 0.14 points to end at 17.29 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was up 0.67% or 0.026 points to 3.920 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 5.32% or 0.4050 points to trade at 7.2050 in late trade. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) declined 1.15% or 0.44 points to end at 37.96 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) shed 1.01% or 0.32 points to 31.39.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 70 to 67 and 17 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 1.21% or 0.61 to $50.83 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.23% or 0.58 to hit $47.91 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.42% or 5.15 to trade at $1224.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.02% to 1.0869, while EUR/GBP rose 0.54% to 0.8444.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 99.51.
