Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Communication, Oil & Gas and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 1.85%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Bezeq (TA:BEZQ), which rose 3.72% or 30.0 points to trade at 836.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Isramco L (TA:ISRAp) added 3.66% or 2.5 points to end at 70.8 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) was up 3.50% or 69 points to 2042 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Strauss Group (TA:STRS), which fell 0.17% or 9 points to trade at 5341 at the close. Leumi (TA:LUMI) added 0.14% or 2 points to end at 1412 and Frutarom (TA:FRUT) was up 0.56% or 90 points to 16270.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 232 to 94 and 125 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.47% or 0.60 to $40.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 2.44% or 1.08 to hit $43.38 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.30% or 3.20 to trade at $1084.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.47% to 3.9042, while EUR/ILS fell 0.09% to 4.1832.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.42% at 99.31.
